AQUEDUCT FALL 2013 WINS (NOV 1 - DEC 31)
DRAWING AWAY STABLE IS AQUEDUCT'S LEADING OWNER
DEC 8: PASS THE TAP raced between horses, steadied after the midway mark, angled out at the top of the stretch, got set down for a drive, was brushed and steadied when passing the leader and was placed first via DQ in Race 7, a $60K SOC at 1 Mile on the Dirt, David Cohen up.
DEC 5: ALPACA FINA outran her odds to take a $72K AOC in Race 3 at 7f on the Dirt under Cornelio Velasquez. Win photo will follow.
SPA CITY FEVER took Race 3, a $100K AOC, at 7f on the Dirt; stalked outside, made his bid on the turn, dueled through 6f, then drew away to win by 2 1/2 lengths, Junior Alvarado up. Win photo will follow.
DEC 4: MAJESTIC NUMBER vied on the inside, responded when roused, then drew away, driving to take Race 1 at 6f on the Dirt as the heavy favorite, Cornelio Velasquez up. Win photo will follow
NOV 21: LIQUIDITY TRAP got the money after being placed first when the winner was DQ'd; had a rough trip; bumped at the start, had trouble in the stretch and bumped with another rival then went on with a game finish under David Cohen.
NOV 21: ALPACA FINA took the opener, an SOC at 6f on the Dirt, as the prohibitive favorite stalked the leader just off the inside, made her move near the 1/4 Pole, then drew off to win by 6 1/4 lengths, Cornelio Velasquez up.
NOV 17: DRIVEN BY SOLAR stalked the pace just off the inside behind dueling pair, got set down entering the stretch, swept past those two at the 1/8 Pole and went on to win by 1/2 length in 1:10:38 to take Race 2 at 6f on the Dirt as the favorite under David Cohen.
NOV 16: UNCLE SMOKEY raced on the inside just off the pace through the 1/4 Pole, went four-wide coming into the stretch ahead by a length and extended his lead to 3 lengths at the wire in Race 9, an AOC at 6 1/2f on the Dirt, Esquivel up.
NOV 15: VIVA ALLEGIANCE took the nightcap at 1 1/6 Miles on the Turf, patiently handled throughout, waited for an opening and split horses to take the lead in the final furlong under a drive to win by a neck under Emmanuel Esquivel.
NOV 8: PRAETEREO took Race 8, a $76K AOC at 7f on the Dirt under David Cohen, rated behind the leaders on the inside, made his move on the turn, came into the stretch with a 2-length lead and extended it to 5 3/4 lengths at the wire.
NOV 8: GROUND FORCE dueled with one foe right after the start, took the lead soon thereafter and maintained a two-length lead to the wire in Race 7, an SOC at 7f on the Dirt, under Emmanuel Esquivel.
NOV 7: SPIRITED TOUCH broke well, rated on the lead on the inside, lengthened the margin to 4 lengths at the top of the stretch and went on to win Race 2, a Maiden Claimer at 7f on the Dirt, by 4 3/4 lengths, Esquivel up.
NOV 6: EXCLUSIVELY YOURS took Race 6 at 6f on the Dirt, rated just behind the leaders, split foes, came into the stretch leading by a head, and drew off to win by 4 1/4 lengths under Emmanuel Esquivel.
NOV 2: ST. LIAMS HALO saved ground, angled in sharply at the top of the stretch, rallied down the lane, skimming the rail, took the lead in the last 16th and went on to win Race 4 at 6f on the Dirt by 2 1/2 lengths, Angel Castillo up.
NOV 1: After a slight bobble coming out of the gate, BARRISTER JIM set the pace on the inside, estabished a comfortable 4-length lead early and went on to win by 6 lengths under apprentice, Emmanuel Esquivel.
BELMONT FALL 2013 WINS (SEPT 7 - OCT 27)
DRAWING AWAY STABLE WAS THE SECOND LEADING OWNER FOR THE BELMONT FALL 2013 MEET.
OCT 25: NORMANDY took Race 6 at 6f on the Inner Turf, woing wire to wire to win by 3/4 lengths under sure handling by Emmanuel Esquivel.
OCT 20: SILENT THUNDER went wire to wire, withstanding two separate duels, to win Race 4 at 6f on the Dirt by 6 lengths, Esquivel up.
OCT 14: Apprentice Emmanuel Esquivel put WRITINGONTHEWALL to a firm hold, quickly took the lead, rated on the inside for 6f, easily turned back challengers at the quarter pole and went on to win Race 2, a SOC at 1 Mile on the Dirt, by a comfortable 2 1/4 lengths.
OCT 13: LIQUIDITY TRAP rated on the inside, came into the stretch behind a wall of horses, angled out 5 wide, then inhaled the leaders to win Race 8 at 7f on the Turf by 3/4 of a length under David Cohen.
OCT 6: I JUS WANA HAV FUN went wire to wire to take Race 4 at 6f on the Dirt, extending her lead at every pole, and drawing away to win by 5 lengths, Cohen up.
OCT 5: TOWN HALL went off as the favorite, raced off the pace on the inside, went 4-wide in upper stretch then drove for home, overtaking the place horse in the final furlong and going on to win by 1 1/4 lengths, David Cohen up.
OCT 4: VICTORY ISLAND took Race 3 at 6f on the Dirt, raced on the pace, took the lead at the top of the stretch then battled the place horse, going head to head in the final stages, to win by a nose as the favorite under David Cohen.
SEPT 7: START JUMPING took Race 5 at 7f on the Dirt as the favorite, stalked the pace 3 wide, was asked at the 3/16 pole and drew away in the stretch to win by 2 3/4 lengths under Javier Castellano.
SARATOGA 2013 WINS (JULY 19 - SEPT 2)
AUG 31: STRAPPING GROOM gave DRAWING AWAY STABLE AND DAVID JACOBSON OUR FIRST GRADED STAKES VICTORY on the flat in the $500K GRADE 1 FOREGO at 7f on the Dirt, breaking on top and holding off the place horse in a game finish while going wire to wire to win by 1/2 length, Junior Alvarado up.
AUG 28: LASSO went wire to wire in the finale to beat the favorite by 2 1/4 lengths at 1 1/16 Miles on the Turf under Cornelio Velasquez.
AUG 23: WRITINGONTHEWALL dueled with the place horse throughout the race while going wire to wire to take Race 3, an AOC at 6f on the Dirt, Rosario up.
AUG 21: POINT TAKEN raced three wide behind the pacesetter, drew even with that one between the 5/16 and the 1/4 pole, dueled gamely through the stretch and edged away to win Race 5, an AOC at 1 1/8 Miles on the Dirt, by a length under Javier Castellano.
AUG 12: STRAPPING GROOM VICTORIOUS IN THE $100K KID RUSSELL STAKES at 6 1/2 furlongs on the Dirt, tracking then passing the pacesetter, then edged clear of the place horse to win by 1 3/4 lengths, Velazquez up.
AUG 9: The DAS entry of So Scott and Ea finished one-two in Race 3, an $87K AOC marathon at 2 miles on the Dirt, distancing the rest of the field by open lengths, piloted by Javier Castellano and David Cohen, respectively.
AUG 5: PURE ATTITUDE went four wide on the turn, came into the stretch with a short lead, dueled with the place horse down the lane and went on to win Race 1 at 6f on the Dirt by a neck, Javier Castellano aboard.
AUG 1: SAGINAW REPEATS IN THE $100K JOHN MORRISSEY in Race 6 at 6 1/2f on the Dirt, racing off the inside throughout, bore down on the pacesetter on the turn, took the lead at the top of the stretch by a head and steadily increased the margin in the final stages to win by 1 3/4 lengths under Junior Alvarado.
JULY 31: KARAKORUM ELECTRA went five wide into the stretch then rallied to draw even with, then pass, the place and show horses, to win Race 4 at 5 1/2 f on the Turf to win by 3/4 length, Cohen up.
JULY 20: ROAD AGENT broke well, dueled with the place horse throughout the finale at 6f on the Dirt, going wire to wire to win by a nose in a game finish under David Cohen.
JULY 20: TYCOON CAT tracked the pace before taking over at the 1/2 Mile mark and maintained a length lead from that point and won by 1/2 length at the wire, giving Drawing Away our first win of the Saratoga meet in Race 5, an Allowance at 1 1/16 Miles on the Turf, Rosario up.

JULY 11: ROMAN INVASION took Race 7 at 6f on the Dirt as the second choice, went to the lead at the 1/2 Mile point went three wide into the stretch, edged away from his rivals then kicked away to wil by length and a half under Joel Rosario.
JULY 11: NORTH OCEAN stalked the pace just off the inside, went four wide nearing the quarter pole, entered the stretch a length in front and was set down for a drive, drawing off to win Race 1, at 1 Mile on the Dirt, by 2 3/4 lengths, Rosario up.
JULY 7: ABRA, the heavy favorite in Race 6 at 6f on the Dirt, ran to his odds, making quick work of his rivals and going wire to wire to win by 10 lengths, geared down in the stretch, Cohen up.
JULY 7: DUST EM MICK rated through a half mile, went four wide into stretch trailing the leader by 6 lengths, passed that one then took off, altered course in traffic, then hit the wire to win by 2 1/2 lengths in Race 4 at 6f on the Inner Turf with David Cohen in the irons.
JULY 4: SCOTUS, under Joel Rosario, rated through 3/4 Mi, entered the stretch two lengths behind the leader, then ran him down, getting up to win by a neck at the wire in the finale at at 1 1/16 Miles on the Inner Turf.

JUNE 2: DEFINE rated behind the pace, went 3 wide into the stretch, rallied to pass the top two at the 1/16th pole and went on to win by 3/4 of a length as the 6th choice in a seven horse field, David Cohen up.
JUNE 2: ROMAN INVASION dueled through the top of the stretch when that rival gave way then dug in to beat the place horse by 3/4 length at the wire in Race 4 at 6f on the Inner Turf with Alvarado in the irons.
JUNE 1: SAGINAW repeats in the $100K AFFIRMED SUCCESS STAKES, Race 4 on New York Showcase Day. Boxed in on the rail for much of the 6 1/2 furlong contest, Saginaw muscled his way through horses at the top of the stretch then took off, caught the place horse in the final furlong and dug in to win by 1/2 length under Junior Alvarado.
MAY 30: POISED TO A TEE took Race 2 at 6f on the Dirt, rated 10 lengths behind the pacesetter, rode the rail and rallied to take the lead, winning a final duel with the place horse, Alvarado up.
MAY 25: DIGHTON broke a bit slow, settled into the three path, came into the stretch with 5 lengths to make up, dug in under a drive and got up to win Race 6 by 1/2 length, Velasquez up.
MAY 25: LEILANI'S TICKET went 3 wide on on the turn in Race 4, progressed steadily, came into the stretch with a 1/2 length lead that was extended to 1 1/4 lengths at the wire as the favorite, Cornelio Velasquez up.
MAY 23: PRINCESS MARA went wire to wire to win Race 5, an AOC at 1 Mile on the Dirt, by 4 lengths, making it three for three on the day for Drawing Away Stable, with Alvarado up for all three victories.
MAY 23: YO BLUE took the lead in Race 3, a 1/4 Mi. into this 1 1/16 Mi. contest on the Inner Turf, and never gave it up on his way to a neck victory under Junior Alvarado.
MAY 23: SPA CITY FEVER (raced for 'David Jacobson and Drawing Away Stable' so win will not appear in DAS stats) took Race 2, an AOC at 1 Mi. on the Dirt as the third choice in a three horse field, Avarado up.

APRIL 20: BEDOUIN NOW made quick work of three rivals in an off-the-turf contest at 1 Mile on the Dirt at 1/9 odds, drawing off to win by 11 1/2 lengths, Velasquez up.
APRIL 18: PUNSTER took Race 2 at 1 1/16th Miles on the Turf, racing just behind the the leader in the first stages of the race, then rated in third until he reached the top of the stretch, made up ground and came running in the final furlong to get up to win by a head under Cornelio Velasquez.
APRIL 5: SHEZA CLASSY LADY made it two wins on the day for Drawing Away with a six length win in Race 6 at 6f on the Dirt, Velasquez up.

MARCH 15: LURE OF THE SOUTH took Race 3 at 1 Mile, rated the first three quarters, came into the stretch two lengths behind the place horse, persevered through the lane and edged clear to win by a half length under Cornelio Velasquez.
MARCH 9: THIS ONES FOR NINA took Race 2 at 6f in thrilling fashion, digging in to win by a neck at odds of 7/1, David Cohen up.
MARCH 3: ROMAN INVASION engaged the place horse in a stretch duel and went on to win Race 5 at 6f by 1 3/4 lengths, Alvarado up.

JAN 27: IRISH LION was forwardly placed at the start of Race 1 at 1 Mile and 70 Yards, rated in the two path under confident handling, overtook the place horse on the turn, led the field into the stretch with a comfortable lead and went on to win by 2 1/2 lengths under hand urging, David Cohen up.
JAN 21: TWEET ME veered out at the start, raced off the pace, rallied to catch the leader at the 1/16 pole and went on to take Race 3, at 6f, by a neck, Irad Ortiz Jr. up.
JAN 16: BIRD FU stalked the pace, rode the rail before going three wide for the stretch run, caught the place horse at the 16th pole and edged away to win Race 2 at 6f by 1 1/4 lengths in the slop under a hand ride under Ramon Dominguez.
JAN 12: EA made it four wins for Drawing Away since Aug. 6th with a 6 1/2 length much the best win in Race 2, the 1 1/2 Mile $75K Coyote Lakes Stakes, Dominguez up.
